The gloves are reinforced with soft goatskin. Catch loops against losing are standard, as well as a GoreTex Fortius membrane, so that the gloves stay nice and dry. The mittens are designed for extreme weather and arctic temperatures. Mittens keep your fingers warmer overall than gloves, but are harder to grip objects with. However, for a sit in freezing cold, they are perfect if you combine them with a pair of thin merino gloves. Thus you have temporary dexterity and best warmth combined.
