The funny part of the Chamäleon is, that it changes itå«s colour: in daylight (passive mode) it is yellow/green, while as soon as you turn the LED power on, it shines bright red/orange. In daylight, the LED-Sight "Chamäleon" could be used like a normal fibre sight as it´s plastic material is light gathering and self-illuminating under the sun. But as soon as You swith the LED on, You have an active illuminated front sight, allowing You ta aim & shoot under the worst light conditionns easily (untill darkness!) - which You can´t perform with any other open sights! The battery (Battery BR 435) runs up to 15 hours. The housing is waterproof sealed. The reason: The light green stick of the rear sight and the red shining grain create a good contrast. This allows a faster target acquisition during driven hunts or searches of wounded game. Color contrasts for fast target acquisition For the Keiler rear sight, the Heym company relies on the tried and tested: bevelled corners on the rear sight and a green rod in the middle, which is self-luminous in daylight. Having the goal in sight, is at day and especially at night a challenge while hunting. The worse the weather and the viewing conditions are, the more challenging is it. Many hunters, who hunt with open sight in forest and field, are thrilled by our LED-sight. Not only in poor light conditions, but also in the shade of trees or in the twilight, the LED-sight allows quickly line up the front sight and the notch of the rear sight. Regardless of the lighting conditions, time of day, weather and individual eyesight: Due to the high contrast, similar to the illuminated point on the rifle scope, and an unrestricted field of view, hunters can improve the shooting performance and land an optimal hit.

Thus, our LED-sght is clearly superior to a conventional luminous front sights (fibre-sight) as well as the classic open sights.
